Which of the three villas should we choose?

All three villas are 91 square metres and set 200 metres apart, so the choice comes down to outlook and finish. Molly's Hideaway sits on the river escarpment with the most dramatic panoramic view. Lazy Jane Lodge is the only villa with both town and river views plus a private lawn garden. Bob's Bungalow is the most premium, with a bathroom television, fluffy cotton gowns and a candle-lit patio.

Can we arrive by helicopter?

Yes. Riverview Rise Retreats has an on-site helipad close to the villas, and helicopters are welcome. It is an unusual option for accommodation of this scale and reflects the level of tailored service the property will arrange, alongside standard road access via the free Mannum ferry.

Is the Murray River ferry crossing difficult or an extra cost?

No. The ferry at Mannum is completely free and runs 24 hours a day, with the crossing taking around seven minutes. After crossing, you turn left, and the retreat is a short drive up Hunter Road at Cowirra. Waits can be a little longer on long weekends and public holidays.

When is the best time of year to visit?

Both seasons have their appeal. Cooler months suit the deep spa bath, home cinema and long, slow mornings indoors, while warmer months open up the private BBQ deck, river views and long evenings outside.
