RIVERVIEW RISE RETREATS
Bed and Breakfast package at Riverview Rise Retreats.
Want a luxury Murray River stay without a themed package attached? The Bed and Breakfast package at Riverview Rise Retreats is the build-your-own option: a private, couples-only villa near Mannum with full breakfast provisions included, priced per night rather than bundled with fixed inclusions. You choose the villa, the length of stay, and any extras - from handmade chocolates to a BBQ platter for two - and leave out what you don't want. The retreat sits on a 40-acre escarpment above the Murray River, around an hour's drive from Adelaide. Rates from $520 per couple per night.
Bed and Breakfast Package at Riverview Rise Retreats
Every other package at Riverview Rise arrives with a theme — an anniversary, a proposal, a babymoon. This one arrives with a blank page. The Bed and Breakfast package is the base rate: your villa, full breakfast provisions, and every standard villa comfort, with nothing pre-decided on your behalf. It's the right choice when you'd rather build the stay yourselves.
What's included
- A private villa of 91 square metres — the size of a small house, for two people
- Full continental and cooked breakfast provisions, prepared in your own fully equipped kitchen whenever you're ready
- Candle-lit spa, hand-made king-size bed, home theatre with 55" 4K TV, Nespresso machine, complimentary bottle of wine, and private BBQ on your patio
- Parking at your door, air conditioning, and a lazy 2pm check-out.

Choosing your villa
All three villas share the same footprint and baseline comforts, 200 metres apart on the escarpment:
- Bob's Bungalow — the premium pick, with a TV in the bathroom and candles on the patio
- Molly's Hideaway — right on the edge of the escarpment, with the most dramatic panoramic river view
- Lazy Jane Lodge — the only villa with both town and river views, plus a private lawn garden
You can compare all three private villas before you book, or ask Wink which is free on your dates.
Getting here
The retreat is around an hour from Adelaide. You'll cross the Murray on the free 24-hour ferry at Mannum — about seven minutes on the water — then it's two kilometres up Hunter Road. Full directions and ferry details are available, and if you'd rather stock the kitchen than cook, the dining options in Mannum are a short trip back across the river.
There's a particular pleasure in a stay with no schedule attached to it. Breakfast happens when one of you finally puts the kettle on. The river keeps moving below the escarpment whether you watch it or not. Some couples fill the days; others let them empty out completely. This package doesn't mind which kind you are.
Backed by the Right Decision Guarantee

FAQs
How is the Bed and Breakfast package different from the other packages at Riverview Rise Retreats?
The Bed and Breakfast package is the base option. It includes your private villa, full breakfast provisions and all standard villa comforts, priced per night with nothing else bundled in. The themed packages add fixed inclusions such as sparkling wine, platters and flowers, while this package lets you start with the essentials and add only the extras you actually want.
Can we add extras to a Bed and Breakfast stay?
Yes, and that is the point of it. You can add handmade Cottage box chocolates, rose petals, long-stem roses, a Continental Platter, a BBQ Platter for two, a Movie Night Platter or a Romantic Gift Basket at the listed prices. If you have something in mind that is not on the list, ask Wink and it can usually be arranged for your arrival.
Do we cook the breakfast ourselves?
Yes. Full continental and cooked breakfast provisions are stocked in your villa, and each villa has a fully equipped kitchen. There is no dining room and no serving times, so breakfast happens entirely on your own clock — a slow mid-morning cook-up on the patio is just as welcome as an early start.
Is there a minimum stay on the Bed and Breakfast package?
Yes. Like every stay at Riverview Rise Retreats, the Bed and Breakfast package has a two-night minimum. The rate is charged per night, which makes it easy to extend a stay to three or four nights without stepping up to a larger packaged offer.
Which villa works best for a Bed and Breakfast stay?
Any of the three. Bob's Bungalow is the most premium, with a TV in the bathroom and candles on the patio. Molly's Hideaway sits right on the edge of the river escarpment with the most dramatic panoramic view. Lazy Jane Lodge is the only villa with both town and river views and has a private lawn garden. All three are 91 square metres and strictly for two.
